Really enjoyed the challenge and obvious camaraderie of the staff. Very encouraging. Beautiful weather. Fantastic scenery.
The 2018 Pyrenees trip was another outstanding Thomson adventure. The weather was perfect, the rides challenging, and the guides attentive and supportive. It’s a spectacular route with iconic climbs nearly every day. It’s definitely one of the more challenging trips with the 8 day format, several long days, and nearly every day with 8000+ feet of climbing. It’s extremely satisfying to see the Atlantic at the end and know you cycled the length of the Pyrenees.
This was our second Thomson trip and it lived up to Thomson’s stellar reputation. The support was first class, from arranging trip logistics, to bike maintenance, van support on the rides, and knowledgeable guides. Accommodations are always just right, with a combination of local character and in some cases luxury. Meals are always plentiful and often regionally specific, which is yet another way to explore the local region. To top it all off, the guides are exceptional. The guides are heavily invested in the trip and the clients’ enjoyment/success, and they feel like old friends after just a few days of riding together. We already have our next Thomson trip booked!
My 3rd and favourite trip. As per all Thomson trips it was all ‘about the bike’ - we came to ride and that is pretty much all we did. Happy, friendly and well organised team - thanks boys. Excellent route and spectacular weather. Not much more that I could ask for (except stronger legs - unfortunately thats down to me not the Thomson team).
I had a great experience on this trip. Well organized, excellent support, outstanding staff combined with interesting and skilled riders. This trip was very challenging and rewarding.
Impressive organisation and support. I could never have had this experience by myself or without a company as good as Thomson
This was my first ride in Europe, and first time to join this type of tour. It was fantastic, and far beyond expectations. I was not sure if I was capable to complete the course, but with the guidance of your leaders, I rode the entire course. I did not realize how much it meant to me, so I was quite surprised when I actually broke down in tears after cresting the last small hill and seeing the Atlantic Ocean. My thanks to Thompson and the ride leaders.
This was a fabulous and challenging cycling adventure! Every single ride was stunningly beautiful. The staff was fantastic and took excellent care of us. Thank you and I hope to see you again.
The trip was very professionally carried out. We all had trouble faulting it. Half way thru I suggested to Jordi that some food is put out at the end of the ride. This is the time your really starving so next day Jordi had it organized. Everything is closed when you hit town at days end. At the end of your tours it would be good to have a hose to wash the bikes down, we did have buckets of water but a hose would be ways better. Our Customs require perfectly clean sports gear, so that’s about the only thing we could suggest. A great tour thoroughly enjoyed. TJ
I loved riding across the Pyrenees and I loved climbing so many famous passes. The scenery was spectacular. The support and guiding were excellent. All of the staff worked hard to take care of everyone in our group of 18 riders.
Pyrennes are beautiful in September. Roads are quiet and views are great!
It was beautiful cycling! A great time of year to cross the Pyreenes.. Smooth roads, minimal traffic, great weather .
The entire experience was top notch, from the route planning, to the attentiveness of the staff, as well as the accommodations. It was an amazing challenge that I will not soon forget. I can’t wait for another challenge!
It was a joy to ride the Pyrenees with the Thomson staff who clearly love sharing this glorious corner of the world with other riders.
