Mingle with the pro riders and Tour celebrities with our privileged VIP access to the Departure Village and Team Paddock at the Opening Stage of the Tour in Florence. Cherish the unique experience of riding across the Finish Line ahead of the peloton in Bologna, followed by a photo shoot on the Official Tour de France Podium, then witness the stage finish from the luxury of the VIP tribune at the Finish Line.
Get behind the scenes of two of Italy’s most famous cycling brands on exclusive factory tours of Colnago and Santini.
You’ll also enjoy a spectacular ride program. As the Number One Official Tour Operator to the Tour de France, Thomson Bike Tours has arranged for you to ride the final 70km of Stage 2 on the race route, followed by an exclusive ride over the Finish Line. Your trip starts at Bologna Airport where our staff will meet you before the transfer to your hotel.
After a brief orientation meeting, lunch and bike build-up, you’ll head out on your first ride in Italy. Our warm-up ride features a magnificent ride through the rolling hills to the south-east of Bologna and includes the climb to Monte Calderaro, a favorite with the local grupettos.

The 2024 Tour de France kicks off today in the magnificent Tuscan capital of Florence.
This is a unique opportunity to witness the start of the Tour de France in Florence, the birthplace of renaissance art and one of Italy’s most famous cities. You’ll have privileged access to the VIP Departure Village and the Team Paddock, a great place to mingle and meet the riders as they prepare for the start of the 1st stage of the 2024 Tour de France.
