Giro d'Italia KOM Challenge

A stellar riding experience with Thomson with great support staff, particularly John and Rob on food and transport, and Libert, our superstar ride leader, who enabled me to successfully tackle the biggest mountains in the Dolomites. The trip was very enjoyable and gave me another entire understanding of the superiority of the professional tour riders. The almost unworldly beauty of the Dolomites was visually enhanced by all the snow. The Italian Alps and Dolomites need to be ridden to really understand the terrain of the Giro d'italia. Was an experience well surpassing what I thought I would encounter. The logistics and support of Peter and his staff gives everyone the opportunity for a lifetime experience that will be unforgettable!!!

Having never been on a bike tour before, wasn't sure what to expect. Chose Thomson because a friend had a very good experience the year before. If you are in doubt, don't be. Thomson excelled in every level of professionalism. From the choice of daily routes, to the terrific van support (those guys are the best!), to the quality of rental bike and mechanical support, I was overwhelmingly impressed. The nightly briefings by Peter (answering ALL the questions), the last minute planning because of weather mandates, the group leaders nurturing and making sure all their group was accounted for, it was outstanding from the first pedal stroke.Then you can compare the quality of hotels and the food with any other group, and I'm sure Thomson will be on top! I felt like every day was VIP treatment! I've been biking seriously for 15 years, am 64 years old, still race, and manage about 150 miles per week (despite word). I can honestly say this is the best two weeks of biking in my life and I am now already wondering when I'll sign up for the next tour! Thank you Peter & your wonderful staff for making this first bike trip the best ever!
