Overview
Over the years Mallorca has become the mecca for road cyclists looking for spectacular and challenging rides, combined with the warm, Mediterranean climate and Spanish hospitality.
Whereas most cycling camps stay in just 1 hotel, restricting access to only a few of the top rides on the island, by staying in 2 different hotels, we’re able to offer you ALL of the top rides on the island. You’ll ride the entire Sierra de Tramontana, from Formentor in the north-east corner to the Port d’Andratx in the south-west. You’ll conquer Sa Calobra, Puig Major, Coll de Soller, Coll de sa Batalla, Coll de la Creueta, Coll d’Orient, Cap de Formentor and many more famous climbs as you cross the entire Sierra de Tramontana.
Discover why Mallorca has become such the playground for road cyclists on the best itinerary the island has to offer – only with Thomson!

Welcome to Mallorca!
Your Cycling Camp starts at Palma de Mallorca Airport where our staff will meet you before the short transfer to your hotel in Alcudia.
After lunch, orientation meeting and bike build-up, you’ll head out for your first ride in Mallorca including the famous Col de Sa Creueta.
Shorter ride option: 39km, 264m elevation
Day 2
Distance
Elevation
Puig Major and the Coll de Soller
The first of your long rides and no better way to kick things off than the famous Coll de Soller.
The ride starts with 10km of flat to the town of Pollença where the gradient starts to pick up, marking the beginning of the climb to Puig Major. The summit lies 37km up the road but with an average gradient of just 2.3%, it’s a fairly gentle climb. From Puig Major you’ll descend to the Port de Soller, a great spot for a short coffee-break, then it’s back on to the small chainring for the much steeper climb to the Coll de Soller.
Shorter ride option: 72km, 1114m elevation
Day 3
Distance
Elevation
Sa Calobra
Today’s ride features 2 of the most famous climbs on the island Sa Calobra climb and Coll de Sa Batalla.
The ride starts with a magnificent rolling route for 30km through typical Mallorcan farmland to the small town of Selva. In Selva you’ll start the 10km climb to the Coll de Sa Batalla followed by the short Coll dels Reis. From there it’s all downhill to the coast and the famous switchbacks of Sa Calobra!
Shorter ride option: 111km, 2228m elevation
Day 4
Distance
Elevation
Cap Formentor
A shorter ride today to recover from yesterday big ride, and another big ride tomorrow! It may be short, but this is a truly spectacular ride – and reached Number 4 in Peter Thomson’s Top 30 rides.
The ride starts with a beautiful road along the south shore of the Bay of Pollença to the magnificent Ermita de la Victoria church. From the Ermita you’ll head back to Alcudia then along the coast to the Port de Pollença where the stunning ride to Formentor begins. Enjoy!
Shorter ride option: 62km, 1099m elevation
Day 5
Distance
Elevation
Across the Tramontana mountains to Andratx
Today’s ride take you across the Sierra de Tramontana to your next destination, the stylish port and fishing town of Port d’Andratx, which many consider to have the most beautiful harbour in the Mediterranean. The ride itself is just stunning, with country lanes leading into twisty mountain roads with magnificent landscapes the entire route. You’ll also have a few hills to contend with including the Coll de la Creueta, the Coll d’Orient, the Coll d’Honor and a surprise, off-the-beaten path climb in the shape of the single-lane road to Es Verger. A magnificent day in the saddle with some of the best cycling Mallorca has to offer.
Shorter ride option: 117km, 2040m elevation
Day 6
Distance
Elevation
Valldemossa
Another magnificent ride in the south-west corner of the Tramontana mountains with 4 categorised climbs to contend with. The first part of the ride winds its way through stunning remote mountain scenery before reaching Bunyola and the start of the famous Coll de Soller. From the Coll de Soller, enjoy a remarkable ride along the dramatic Mallorcan coastline, before a couple of short climbs lead you back inland and the final descent to Port d’Andratx.
Shorter ride option: 89km, 2171m elevation
Day 7
Distance
Elevation
Port des Canonge
A spectacular ride to finish off the week with no less than 5 categorised climbs through some of Mallorca’s most impressive scenery. The area we’ll be riding through today is home to many celebrities such as Michael Douglas, Richard Branson, and Rafa Nadal. Little wonder when you witness the beauty of this region!
In the evening, join our staff at the hotel bar where beers and cocktails are in order to toast a fantastic week of epic rides!
