Bienvenue en France
Our staff will meet you at Montpellier Méditerranée airport. From here we’ll transfer you in our private shuttle to our hotel in Mourèze. After checking in we’ll have lunch where you’ll get a chance to meet your fellow Tour de France fans. Then it’s a short orientation meeting where we’ll run through the plans for the upcoming week. After lunch you will have time to explore the area and marvel at the gigantic limestone rocks towering over our village - you could be forgiven for thinking you’re in another magical, timeless world… or on another planet. Enjoy an easy evening with dinner, before action packed days ahead!
Tour de France LIVE Viewing: Stage 6
VIP Finish line - Mont Aigoual
Today we’ll witness the thrill of a finish as VIPs! We’ll head over to Mont Aiguoal nice and early, to soak up the atmosphere and see if we can see some of our favorite commentators. Mountain top finishes are full of ambience, music and frivolities! After lunch we will head to our VIP area by the finish line, a 3-tiered viewing area with complimentary appetizers, drinks & official TDF photos. A tour of the technical village will allow us to get up close to the finish line, see the inside of the media and TV crew area (maybe Phil & Jens will say hi), view the podium and get a real insight into the arrival area. Back to our viewing area, we will await the riders. We are in for a treat as today as the cyclists will have climbed Col de la Lusette and will be battling to stay at the front of the pack as they summit Mont Aigoual, right before our eyes!
Tour de France LIVE Viewing: Stage 7
VIP access to Team Paddock and Start Village and travel to the Pyrenees
As an Official Tour Operator, we have secured a visit of the ‘Team Paddock’ and Departure Village stage start. The Departure Village allows you to see sponsors and gain VIP entry, perhaps even meeting past winners of the race, plus journalists like Bradley Wiggins and Steve Porino, grabbing coffees and catching up, pre team arrival. Then, it’s onto our favorite - the paddock is where all the cyclists and teams congregate pre-race. The area offers fantastic opportunities to get up-close to the riders and Tour celebrities, as well as getting a first-hand view of the inner workings of the Tour de France. This is the place to get those all-important autographs and pictures with the Tour celebrities and riders. It’s one of the most popular moments on our Spectator Trips! After the riders head off so do we. Sit back, relax and soak up the views as we head towards Toulouse and into the Pyrenees, where our route is peppered with famous climbs, as we head to our favorite village, Saint Lary Soulan.
Tour de France LIVE Viewing: Stage 8
VIP Viewing Loudenvielle
Are you ready for some real life, roadside, mountain action- just as you have watched on television for years? It’s Col day! We’ll be heading to a private viewing point in a prime position, where you can enjoy the wild Tour de France scene from the comfort of our VIP area. Food, drinks, and satellite TV race coverage will keep you entertained as we wait for the peloton to approach. It’s a spectator favorite! Don’t forget your flags!
Tour de France LIVE Viewing: Stage 9
VIP Viewing Relais Etape Laruns
It’s stage 9 and today you will experience another VIP experience in the Relais Etape! The Relais Etape is situated on the course in a key location and allows us to view the race in comfort. A 3-course meal, free bar, live coverage on TV, entertainment and a prime roadside spot, until the cyclists pass right in front of us live, it is an amazing way to watch the stage! You can feel the excitement build as you watch official vehicles zoom by, hear the helicopters above as they track the cyclists getting nearer and nearer and get a roadside view as they pass by. A VIP gift rounds up the amazing day.
Unfortunately our Tour de France Experience must come to an end. We will drop you off at Toulouse airport. We hope to see you back in the future. Join us on a Thomson Spectator Trip to La Vuelta, World Cycling Champs, Tour Down Under, Spring Classics, or AMGEN Tour of California
