Tour of Flanders on the Paterberg! Witness the sheer grit of the peloton as they battle to claim one of the oldest and most prestigious titles in the history of cycling.
Bienvenue en France!
Our trip starts at Lille Europe Train Station where our staff will be there to welcome you. From the train station we’ll have a short transfer to our hotel. Our staff will review the exciting weekend ahead in our Orientation meeting then we’ll enjoy a typical lunch at the hotel restaurant.
After lunch you’ll have a chance to explore Lille, founded in the 11th century and influenced by several cultures over the centuries before at last becoming French. See the evidence the Flemish, Burgundian and Spanish left on the city in Lille’s varied architectural styles, including the old city, the Grand Palace, the Town Hall and belfry and the Fine Arts Museum.
Meeting Time and Place
Our guides will meet you at 9:30am at Lille Europe TGV Railway Station.
Today we head into Belgium to visit its most stunning city - Bruges. Gorgeous Bruges is a tourist’s dream. This is Belgium’s most perfectly preserved medieval town, and its jaw-dropping, beautiful architecture attracts more than two million visitors a year. With its wealth of interesting old buildings and canals, Bruges still retains a distinct medieval air. Take a walk through the narrow streets or a boat trip on the canal and fall under its spell, charmed by the atmosphere of what many consider the most delightful city of Flanders.
