Day 1

SAT July 10 › Bienvenue en France!

Our KOM French Alps Performance Tour starts at Geneva airport where our staff will be waiting to welcome you before the transfer to our hotel in Chatel.

After arrival at the hotel we'll have lunch, followed by our orientation meeting then we'll get the bikes ready for our afternoon "warm-up" ride. We'll cross over the border and down into Switzerland. We'll climb back up to Chatel via the Pas de Morgins.

Day 2

SUN July 11 › Morzine-Avoriaz

Our vantage point with Orbea-sponsored marquis tents will be situated on a prime spot close to the top of the climb to MORZINE-AVORIAZ.

Form the hotel in Chatel, we'll climb over the short Col de Corbier before descending into Morzine and the start of the final climb up to the finish in Avoriaz.

Have a cool drink, picnic lunch and then enjoy an exciting afternoon including LIVE Satelite TV coverage in English!

The Col de la Colombiere

Day 3

MON July 12 › Col de la Colombiere!

Today's ride includes 2 Grand Tour favorites, the Col de la Joux Plane and the Col de la Colombiere. From the hotel in Chatel we can enjoy a 12 mile descent before starting our first climb up the Cat. 2 Col du Corbier.

Next destination is Morzine where the road heads upwards again towards the famous Col de Joux Plane. Enjoy the spectacular views from the top of the Joux Plane before heading down the valley to Cluses and our final climb of the day, the hors-categorie Col de la Colombiere.

The famous Col de la Madeleine

Day 4

TUE July 13 › Col de la Madeleine

Along with Alpe d'Huez and the Galibier, the Col de la Madeleine is one of the most famous climbs in the Alps.

Our hotel is situated just 30 miles from the bottom of the climb to the Madeleine so we have plenty of time to have a relaxing breakfast at the hotel then set out on the bikes for this legendary climb.

The climb starts in La Lechere and watch out for the blue & white Orbea tents that signal our vantage point some 15 miles later, close to the summit!

The legendary Alpe d'Huez

Day 5

WED July 14 › Alpe d'Huez!

Today is Bastille Day and we'll celebrate it by riding the most famous climb of all: Alpe d'Huez. We'll descend to Bourg d'Oisans where we start the climb of the famous 21 switchbacks.

After crossing the official finish line at the top of Alpe d'Huez village we'll head back down for a couple of km before taking a right turn towards Villard-Reculas. A spectacular, single-track road that hugs the cliffs will take us down to Allement and onto the Hors-Categorie Col de la Croix de Fer climb.

Climbing Galibier

Day 6

THU July 15 › Galibier!

We've saved the best for last - today we confront the mighty Col du Galibier - 22 miles and over 6,000 ft of elevation gain.

From our hotel we have a short 12km ride along the valley where we start the climb to the Col de Telegraphe & Galibier combo.

We reach the top of the Telegraphe after 7.3 miles at over 7% average grade. From the Telegraphe there's a brief respite on the downhill section to Valloire then the grade picks up again as we head towards the Col du Galibier at 2,645m
