The spectacular Cordillera Cantabrica mountain chain runs along the northern coast of Spain and features some of the best bike-riding opportunities in Europe.

Each year Cantabria, and neighbouring Asturias, welcomes the top mountain stages of the Vuelta a Espana with classic climbs such as the Lagos de Covadonga and the infamous Alto El Angliru. The Angliru is recognised as the toughest climb of the Grand Tours and has seen many famous battles during the Vuelta a Espana. Both of these legendary climbs are included in our itinerary.
