TERMS & CONDITIONS

All reservations with Thomson Bike Tours are subject to the following conditions:

Advance Reservation

At the start of the season we open up our Advance Reservation System for certain trips. An advance reservation accompanied by a $100 deposit ensures priority booking status when the trip details are announced later in the year.

When the trip details are finalized we contact everyone on the advance reservation list and offer them priority booking before opening up bookings to the general public. If we have more advance reservations than we have available spots we will process the advance reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis (based on the date the advance reservation was made).

To confirm an advance reservation a FIRM booking must be placed accompanied by an additional $500 deposit.To cancel an advance reservation a cancelletion request must be submitted in writing within 15 days of the trip details being published. The $100 advance reservation deposit will be immediately refunded for any cancellation received within this 15-day period.

Deposit

To reserve a Thomson Bike Tours trip a deposit of $500 per person is required. A reservation will not be considered to be finalised until this deposit is received. Please note that on some trips of shorter duration the deposit may vary.

Payment Terms and Cancellation Policy

For Grand Tour Race Viewing trips

Final payments: The balance of your payment is due 120 days prior to the trip departure date.

Due to the huge spectator demand, limited hotel availability, and the advance payment expected by hotels during these events, the following special cancellation conditions will apply to all of our Grand Tour Race Viewing trips:

AFTER BOOKING, IF YOU CANCEL…

within 30 days of booking We will refund your deposit
between 91 and 120 days prior to departure Cancellation fee of 50% of the original trip price
between 61 and 90 days prior to departure Cancellation fee of 75% of the original trip price
less than 60 days prior to departure Cancellation fee of 100% of the original trip price

For all other trips

Final payments: The balance of your payment is due 90 days prior to the trip departure date.
If for some reason you have to cancel your trip the cancellation must be con rmed in writing and the following charges will apply:

between 31 days of booking and up to 91 days prior to departure We will refund your deposit less $100 administrative fee
between 61 and 90 days prior to departure Cancellation fee of 50% of the original trip price

less than 30 days prior to departure Cancellation fee of 100% of the original trip price

Payment methods

We accept payment by credit card, check or bank transfer.

TRIP ALTERATIONS & CANCELLATION

Thomson Bike Tours reserves the right to make hotel and route modi cations which become necessary due to circumstances beyond their control and undertake to inform participants as soon as possible.

Thomson Bike Tours reserves the right to cancel the trip in which case all payments including the deposit will be refunded. This will constitute full settlement.

INSURANCE

Participants are responsible for having adequate travel insurance covering accident, personal injury, evacuation and medical costs, loss of luggage and cancellation. Thomson Bike Tours is not liable for personal injury, death, damage to property or other loss whether arising from accident, cancellation, delays or any other matter beyond our control.
